Theatre Festival

先週は第５八雲国際演劇祭が開催された。

Last week was the 5th Yakumo International Theatre Festival, and Mr. K and I were lucky enough to attend some of the performances.

私たちはカナダから「コーパス」の「飛行隊」を見に行きました。

飛行隊のパフォーマンスメンバーはいろいろな国の言葉を使われてフランス語、英語、ドイツ語、スペイン語、イタリア語、ともちろん日本語も！！

本当に面白かった。子供から大人も楽しめるパーフォマンスです♥

We saw ‘A Flock of Flyers’ by Canadian troupe, Corpus. In the performance, each flying team member spoke a different language!! I recognized French, English, German, Spanish, Italian and of course, Japanese too!

It was an excellent, thoroughly enjoyable show for people of all ages and nationalities. ♥

次に日本の「ピッコロ・ドルチェ」大正琴の演奏ではじめて聞きましたがとてもステキでした。演歌・pop・ジャズスタイルから私の知っている「スタンド・バイー・ミー」も聞きました！！

Later, we listened to the Japanese Kinjou-style Taishou Harp Group, Piccolo Dolce. They were excellent and played many traditional and modern songs, including a jazzy rendition of Stand By Me!!

Happy HALLOWEEN!!

去年は私の初めてのハロウィン写真を紹介しました。今年は二回のハロウィン写真で〜す。私が４歳のときでコスチュームはお母さんの手作りのお姫様です♥

Last year, I posted about my 1st Halloween, so this year, here is a picture of my second Halloween!! In the picture, I am four years old. Of course, I’m wearing a queen costume made by my mother♥

今年も毎年恒例になった松江のポートベローさんでハロウィンパーティーでした！！

This year there was also a Halloween party again at Port Below!! Mr. K and I went as Guile and Chun-Li from the retro arcade game, Street Fighter II 😉

来年のハロウィン待ってま〜す♡

そして、今月私の両親はイタリアを旅行します！！私のお父さんはイタリアの家族に久しぶりに会って。以前はイタリアに住んでいました！私はイタリア生まれで〜す！

最近写真を送ってもらって：以前住んでいたアパートと近いの公園です。私は赤ちゃんのとき、毎日公園に行っていました😉　

This month, my parents are visiting my father’s family in Italy. My parents used to live and work there, and I was born there! Recently they sent me some pictures of their trip, including the apartment we used to live in and the park they often took me to when I was just a baby😉

BOOK of the MONTH

１０月のおすすめ本はSternのポートフォリオシリーズ「エディ・スリマン」です。この本にはモノクロ写真です。

October’s book is from the Stern Fotographie Portfolio series featuring: Hedi Slimane.

エディ・スリマンは現在イブサンローランのデザイナー！！以前はフォトグラファーやディオールオムのデザイナーなど多彩で山崎さんの好きなデザイナーのひとりです。

Inside the book is an overview of photographer Hedi Slimane’s works. Hedi Sliame is also well known for his innovative men’s designs for Yves Saint Laurent and later, Dior. He is one of Mr. K’s favorite designers.

Please enjoy looking at October’s book while having your hair colored or permed!

アメリカご紹介 part III

After Spokane, my dad continued to drive from Washington to Montana. To get there you cross over the Rocky Mountains through Idaho.

ワシントン州からモンタナ州まで運転しました！約４時間くらいです。ワシントン州とモンタナ州の間はアイダホ州と「ロッキー山脈」のパスは海抜 1,436m です😵

First we stayed in Missoula, Montana, where my aunt and uncle live. It’s a cute town with a university, many cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. There were also pianos in front of some shops that anyone could play. My uncle played the great novelty ragtime tune Nola for us!

最初はモンタナ州の「ミズーラ」で止まりました。「ミズーラ」の街はとてもカワイイ！色なカフェーとレストランとブティックがあります。そして店の前にピアノがあります！！誰でもピアノを弾くことができます。私のおじさん上手にピアノを弾きました！！

After Missoula, we headed to Deer Lodge where my mother’s family has a ranch. Along the way I saw a sign with my name on it!! As we came closer to the town, I also saw a sign with my mother’s family name, “Beck”. She has many relatives in and near the town and the hill is in fact named for her family!!
