BOOK of the MONTH

6月のおすすめの本は「ダース・ヴェイダーと仲間たち」です。この本はダース・ヴェイダーがパパのシリーズ第4で〜す！

2013年6月には第1「ダース・ヴェイダーとルーク(4才)」 。2014年6月には第2「ダース・ヴェイダーとプリンセス・レイア」。2015年6月には第3「おやすみなさいダース・ヴェイダー」をご紹介しました。

今回のテーマは、友情です。もちろんシリーズのイラストはいつもチャーミングでかわいい♡

June’s book is Darth Vader and Friends by Jeffrey Brown, the 4th in the Darth Vader™ series.

I featured the 1st book, Darth Vader and Son in June 2013, the 2nd book, Vader’s Little Princess in June 2014, and the 3rd book, Good Night Darth Vader in June 2015, in honor of Father’s Day.  

This time, the series focuses on friendship, and of course, the artwork is as charming as usual.♥

今月のおすすめ本はNEW YORK・EAST COAST発のスケートウェッブマガジン QUARTERSNACKS「クウォータースナックス」の１０年を記念して発売された本です。

「クウォータースナックス」のウェブマガジンではブログ＆ビデオ＆ニューヨークのおすすめスケートスポットが紹介されてます。

小さなウェブマガジンからはじまり１０年間のニューヨークスケートボードヒストリーが写真などで見れます！英語のみですが英語の勉強にもなるのでたのしいですよ！笑

QuarterSnacks

This month’s book is, TF at 1: Ten Years of Quartersnacks, recommended by Mr. K.  The book is a compilation of content from the skateboarding website, Quartersnacks, which has blog posts, videos, and a list of (unofficial) skate spots in New York City.  As a result of the websites growth and popularity during its first decade, TF at 1: Ten Years of Quartersnacks successfully captures the skate culture of New York City in its many full color photos and interviews.

スター・ワォーズ：The Force Awakens

あけましておめでとうございます「  Happy New Year」!

１月のおすすめの本は「スター・ウォーズ/フォースの覚醒」のプログラムブックです。この本には、キャラクター紹介や今までの「スター・ウォーズシリーズ」のヒストリーが写真付きで載ってます。

This month’s book is a guide to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which opened in Japan on December 18th.  Inside the book are full color photos and story synopses of the previous six Star Wars installments, and character profiles, cast and crew interviews, and concept art for The Force Awakens.

１２月２０日、私はこの映画を松江東宝に見に行きました。今話題沸騰のこの映画が、なんと！！ほぼ貸切で見れちゃいました！！笑

皆さんも是非見て下さい！！！

Even though Star Wars: The Force Awakens had the biggest worldwide  opening weekend, when I saw the movie on December 20th, the theatre was nearly empty in Matsue!!

BOOK of the MONTH

９月のおすすめの本は東京バレエ団、ねむれる森の美女のプログラムです。先週土曜日私はこのバレエを島根県民会館で見に行きました♫

このプログラム中にはバレエの物語とキャラクターのプロフィールとキレイなコスチューム「芝居の衣装」の写真があります。

私は幼かった時から、バレエが好きで、バレエ教室に通っていました。松江でそのような有名なバレエを見れて本当に満足でした♡

September’s featured ‘book’ is the program from The Tokyo Ballet’s production of The Sleeping Beauty, which I went and saw last week at the Shimane Civic Center. The program has an excellent description of the ballet’s story, as well as profiles of the main characters. There are also lovely photos of the cast in their beautiful costumes!!

The performance was very enjoyable and featured the original choreography by Marius Petipa ; however, the ballet was abridged so that children could enjoy it, and there were even brief moments of comical narration.😊

Since I have studied ballet from a young age, I was very happy to be able to attend this special performance in Matsue. ♡

この本は40人以上のカメラマンが、スケートボードの歴史、1970年代後半から30年間の歴史を写真で綴っています。
