Container Gardening part VI

今回はガーデニングトークパート６です。   今日は冬至日ですね！去年、一昨年と冬のコンテナガーデンをブログで紹介しました 。  今年もコンテナガーデン写真を紹介します♥

コンテナガーデンには、いろんな多肉植物を植え込みました！！このポットにはかわいくて、育てるのが簡単なグリーンです。多肉植物は寒さや暑さにもつよいです 。

Today is the winter solstice (the shortest day of the year) so I though I’d share this year’s winter container garden like I did last year and the year before. This year’s winter container has a mixture of succulents in various shades of green and some hints of purple.   

３年前の多肉植物「下左の写真」すごく大きくなりました！これからが楽しみですね！

I’ve had excellent success with succulents (see above). They seem to do well all year, even in the hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters!!

Happy May Day 2015♡

今日は私の一番好きな日です！！メーデーは古くはヨーロッパで始まったお祭りです。

今年は２年前のホスタの葉がもっと増えました！　去年の２倍です！！

もちろん今回もメーデーの花束をお店に飾ってありますのでよかったら見て下さい♡

As I’ve mentioned before, today is my favorite day of the year, May 1st!!

This year, my hosta from two years ago has returned again (left photo)!!  Last year there were 6 leaves, but this year there are 12 leaves😉! Of course I also got a May Day bouquet for Hair Innovation as well! ♡

Container Gardening part V

今回はガーデニングトークパート５です。

今日は春分の日ですね。これからだんだん暖かくなってきましたね♡
そして春はたくさんの花が咲き始めますね！！

Today is the spring equinox (the start of spring) so here are some pictures of flowers beginning to bloom!!

シクラメンの花が咲き始めます！！去年は５月に咲くのを待っていましたが今年は早く咲きそうです！

Last year, I waited until May before the cyclamens started to bloom. This year, the red cyclamens are already in full bloom and the white ones will bloom soon–aren’t they cute ?

赤のシクラメンはカワイイですね♡
白のシクラメンは後少しで咲くかな ？百合の花ももうすぐですね！！多分５月くらいに咲き始めます。そしてピンクのヒアシンスと多肉植物と後ろには水仙はキレイです ♡

The lilies have begun to sprout, and the pink hyacinth with some succulents and yellow daffodils will make for a charming container❤︎. I’m looking forward to seeing the flowers in May.

Container Gardening part IV

今回はガーデニングトークパート４です。今日は冬至日ですね！今年の冬もコンテナガーデンを紹介します ♡  冬至日は一番日が短いですよね。でも今からはどんどん日が長く明るくなると思います。

Today is the winter solstice (the shortest day of the year) so I though I’d share this year’s winter container garden like I did last year.

コンテナガーデンには、パンジーと葉牡丹植え込みました！！　今年のテーマはピンクと白で〜す ♡　この花は寒さや雪が降るこの時期でも大丈夫です。

This container has a mixture of pansies and ornamental kale in colors ranging from deep magenta to pale pink, and white.  Both are cold resistant and look lovely in the snow, which is a good thing considering it’s already begun snowing this year😱!!

アメリカご紹介 part II

私のお父さんは「オレゴン州」から「ワシントン州」の街：「スポケーン」まで運転しました！約６時間くらいです😵

最初の３時間には「コロンビア川」が「オレゴン」と「ワシントン」の間にあります。とても大きな川でたくさん滝があります。「マルトノマ滝」（１８９m）はキレイです。いっぱい風力原動機もあります！！「ワシントン州」に入るとずっと砂漠気候見たいです。

「アジアンフード」の店に食べ行きました。私は魚を食べないので美味しいお野菜巻き寿司は嬉しいです😉

After Portland, my father drove along the Columbia River Gorge and through Eastern Washington to the city of Spokane.  It took over 6 hours 😵!   On the first part of the drive, you can see Multnomah Falls and many wind turbines along the river that divides Oregon from Washington.  The second part, after entering Washington, is a long stretch of semi-desert. That night we had dinner at an Asian restaurant.  I was happy to eat the vegetarian sushi rolls with cucumber and avocado😊.

次の日は近くの大きな公園に歩いて行きました。「マニトパーク」にはいっぱいのガーデンがあります。ヨーロッパスタイルの「ダンカンガーデン」はとてもキレイですね！　そして日本スタイルのガーデン「西宮」もステキです！！

The next morning we walked to Manito Park and Botanical Gardens, a beautiful park with many different types of gardens.  The European style Duncan Garden is lovely with its symmetrical layout and fountain. There is also a Japanese garden, Nishinomiya, named after the city in Japan.  It was also stunning!!
