８月のおすすめ本は「One Piece」英語の訳文で〜す♡

アートワークは独自「ワンピース」と同じですけど全登場人物、英語ペラペラ見たい（笑）擬声語も英語に翻訳しました「ジャジャーン」＝「Ta-da!」です。

August’s book is the English version of the popular manga, One Piece.  It reads right to left just like the original, so the integrity of the artwork is preserved.  I hope you enjoy seeing the characters “speak” English 😉. You can also see how Japanese onomatopoeia is written in English, for example jaja-n is “ta-da!”

夏季休業日のお知らせ「Holiday Hours」

夏季休業日のお知らせ：

８月１７日「第３日」は営業日いたします。
８月１１日「月」〜１３日「水」までお休みさせて頂きます。
尚、８月１４日「木」より通常通り営業させて頂きます。

Summer Holiday Hours:

In addition to our usual hours of operation, we will also be open on Sunday, August 17th.
We will be closed from August 11th-13th, for Obon.
Regular hours will resume on Thursday, August 14th.

７月のおすすめの本は２冊あります！！ This month has two recommended books!!

今月は「スポーツ・グラフィックナンバー」のワールドカップ２０１４ガイド。ブラジル大会もあと少しでファイナル！！この本には出場３２カ国のメンバー＆インタビューが記載。私が好きなチームは敗退しましたが月曜日の朝４：００のファイナルは楽しみにしてます！！素晴らしい試合期待してます。

In honor of the 2014 World Cup, which is being held in Brazil and is nearing the final match, here is a special edition of the sports magazine Number.  It features a guide with information on the current squads for each national team.  Although the teams I like have lost 😥 , I’m looking forward to an exciting final match at 4:00am(!) on the 14th!!

後は宝塚のセレブレーション１００！のプログラムです。この前私はセレブレーションを見に行きました♫　このプログラム中にはキレイな写真と宝塚のストーリーがあります。そしてもちろんスターファイルもあります♡

The other featured book is the program from Celebration 100! Takarazuka, which I went and saw last month.  It features lovely photos of the cast as well as a history of Takarazuka.  Of course it also has profiles of the top stars.♡

Takarazuka セレブレーション１００！

昨日宝塚のセレブレーション１００！を見に行きました♪　とてもとても良かったです！　宝塚は豊富な歌のレパートリーがありますね。私は今まで曲を聞いたことがありません。曲は全部は楽しく聴きやすい♫  もちろんパフォーマンス、ダンス、オーケストラによる生演奏、なども素晴らしい。グラマラスな芝居の衣裳もステキです。私も宝塚ファンになった♡

Last night I was lucky to attend the all-female musical theatre troupe, Takarazuka’s, Celebration 100! ♪  Even though I was unfamiliar with their vast repertoire, I thoroughly enjoyed the nonstop entertainment!!  The troupe had outstanding, tremendously powerful voices, accompanied by a live orchestra.♫

 The costumes were gorgeous, and I especially loved the lyrical, jazz, ballroom and other styles of dancing.  Of course, I was fascinated by the ‘otokoyaku’, the male roles that are played by women.  I would love to see a full production at the Takarazuka Grand Theater♡

BOOK of the MONTH

６月のおすすめの本は「ダース・ヴェイダーとプリンセス・レイア」です。

この本はダースヴェイダーがパパのシリーズ第２で〜す！２０１３年６月には第１「ダース・ヴェイダーとルーク(4才) 」日本語バーションご紹介しました。

今回は英語のバージョンですが絵本なので面白いと思います☺️

June’s book is Vader’s Little Princess by Jeffrey Brown.

This book is the second in a series imagining Darth Vader tackling fatherhood.  I featured the Japanese version of the first book, Darth Vader and Son for June 2013’s Book of the Month.  This time, the book is in English, but it’s easy to enjoy the story as it unfolds in cute, hilarious pictures!
