We went to Hiroshima city for a seminar on Monday. After it was over, I suggested we walk to Peace Boulevard to see if the annual illumination event, known as Dreamination, had started. Unfortunately, the event officially started on Tuesday, but there were a few areas already lit up, so I posed under a cute gazebo♥.
I have seen this event in the past, and it is quite incredible! This year’s Dreamination is from November 17th, 2015 to January 3rd, 2016, every evening from 17:30 to 22:30!!
Last week Mr. K and I went to a national park near Unnan city to see the lovely waterfall there. The waterfall, Ryūzuyae is listed in Japan’s top 100 waterfalls. It is split into an upper fall (Ryūzu) and lower fall (Yae), which represent the mane and tail of a horse.
気をつけて歩いていくと龍頭ヶ滝の裏側に辿りつきます!!
とても、とても素敵な滝です♡
If you are careful, you can climb around behind the upper fall!!
This month, my parents are visiting my father’s family in Italy. My parents used to live and work there, and I was born there! Recently they sent me some pictures of their trip, including the apartment we used to live in and the park they often took me to when I was just a baby😉
ここは私が生まれた町:ベルガモです♥
Above is a lovely view of the town where I was born: Bergamo♥
First we stayed in Missoula, Montana, where my aunt and uncle live. It’s a cute town with a university, many cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. There were also pianos in front of some shops that anyone could play. My uncle played the great novelty ragtime tune Nola for us!
After Missoula, we headed to Deer Lodge where my mother’s family has a ranch. Along the way I saw a sign with my name on it!! As we came closer to the town, I also saw a sign with my mother’s family name, “Beck”. She has many relatives in and near the town and the hill is in fact named for her family!!
